One important thing to remember when working with concrete5 is not to change any files underneath the concrete
and updates

As you can see, there are quite a few directories if you install concrete5, but don't worry about that, you'll just need a few of them.
Why is the concrete
directory sacred? If you look at the previous screenshot, you can see that the concrete
directory contains more or less the same directories like you have in the root. That's mostly because concrete5 uses the same framework for its backend and editing system as you're using to build your own websites and applications. In other words, the actual CMS code can be found in the concrete
directory, and whatever you build is outside in the other top-level directories.
