Adding a product to a Joomla! article with J2Store


At last we will actually see J2Store in action in this recipe.

Getting ready

Have some product details like description and images ready and we will quickly get it done.

How to do it...

J2Store is simplicity itself. In around 5 minutes you can have your product available for sale. Compare that to VirtueMart which took around five chapters:

  1. From the main Joomla! menu select Content | Article Manager | Add New Article.

  2. Write/paste in your article and add it to the appropriate categories. Just as we did in Creating articles in Joomla! in Chapter 6, Killer SEO. This time, however, your article should be more than just an article. It should also be the description and any other information you wish to convey about the product, as shown in the following screenshot:

  3. Now click on the J2Store Cart drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the page as shown in the following screenshot:

  4. All we have to do is enter a price for our product and select the Yes radio...
