Integrating Foundation in a Compass project


Compass is an open source CSS Authoring Framework. In Chapter 6, Using Compass, of this book, you can read about how to set up your Sass projects with Compass. In this recipe, you will learn how to easily integrate Foundation 6 into your Compass project workflow.

Getting ready

Read the Installing Compass recipe in Chapter 1, Getting Started with Sass, to find out how to install Compass on your system. In this recipe, you will use bower. Bower is a package manager for the Web; it is used for managing frontend components. Run the following command in your console to install Bower:

npm install -g bower

How to do it...

For this recipe, you should perform the following steps:

  1. Create a new Compass project, as already described in the Maintaining your applications with Compass recipe of Chapter 6, Using Compass, by running the following command in your console:

     compass init
