Using Bootstrap mixins and classes

Although Bootstrap is a complete CSS framework, you can use some of its components for other non-Bootstrap projects. In this recipe, you will see how to reuse Bootstrap's pagination.

Other examples of reusing Bootstrap's code can be found in other recipes of this book. In the There's more... section of this recipe, you can read how to create a clearfix. The mixin for this clearfix can be found in the mixins/_clearfix.scss file, which is included in Bootstrap's source files.

Both the There's more... section of the Creating grids with semantic.gs recipe in Chapter 9, Building Layouts with Sass and the Implementing semantic layouts with Bootstrap recipe of this chapter describe how to use Bootstrap's grid mixins to build a semantic grid. Also, other recipes in this chapter describe how to use the grid, button, or card components of Bootstrap for your projects.

Getting ready

Of course, you should read the Downloading and installing Bootstrap recipe of this chapter...
