Getting Grunt watch for Sass, and LiveReload to work


The browser extensions from LiveReload enable you to get a live preview of your changes to your code. Currently, extensions are available for Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox. Notice that the extension for Safari does not work when you open the files directly in your browsers by using in the file:/// protocol. In this recipe, you will learn how to integrate LiveReload into your build chain.

Getting ready

This recipe requires you to have the watch plugin (grunt-contribe-watch) and the Sass plugin (grunt-contrib-sass), as described in the Adding the Sass compiler task recipe, installed. You will also need Safari, Google Chrome, or Firefox, and the free LiveReload extension installed.

Extend your Grunt workflow by using the browser extensions LiveReload:
