Assessing your learners

Assessing your learners is an essential element of any e-learning project. Most often, you want to ensure that your audience has learned what you have taught them in the program, course, or module you developed. If you're not assessing the learning, how will you know if your e-learning course was effective?

Storyline has multiple options when it comes to assessing your learners' knowledge, and most of this information will be found in Chapter 6 , Assessing Learners. For now, we'll just discuss assessments in Storyline at a very high level to refresh your understanding of question basics.

Working with questions

Storyline has multiple question types. You can select a question type, modify it using the Form View, and preview it using the Slide View. To insert a question slide, select New Slide from the Insert tab, click on the Quizzing tab, and then choose either Graded or Survey.

Tip

You can also use the shortcut Ctrl + M to bring up the Insert Slides menu.
