Automating the engagement plan

An engagement plan is a predefined plan that lets you control how your website interacts with visitors. You use engagement plans to nurture relationships with your visitors by adapting personalized communication based on which state the visitors are in.

For example, a marketing team needs to automate an engagement plan that when any user downloads the product brochure, visitors should be added to an engagement plan automatically. If this user has not subscribed to a newsletter and has some engagement value points, send them an e-mail to encourage them to subscribe for the newsletter. In this recipe, we will achieve two things—automating visitor enrollment in the engagement plan on downloading a brochure and sending an e-mail to them if they don't subscribe to the newsletter.
