Web services have been the modern day intercommunication blueprints among huge enterprise applications because they are now the medium for data exchange and many other service-oriented transactions. Lots of technologies support web service implementation in order to cutdown language-specific, platform-dependent, and hardware-branded transactions among islands of enterprise applications. On the other hand, remoting technology has been an old enterprise solution in many cross-platform and distributed architecture scenarios for sharing business logic to enhance software performance.
This chapter has shown us how convenient it is to implement web services and remote transactions in the Spring 4.x Framework due to its lightweight characteristics and its dependency injection principle.
