In this section, you will learn how to back up the Alexa Cooking App skill you built. Everything you have built so far in the ASK can be exported to JSON, and later, you can restore the JSON to recreate an Alexa skill.
- Log in to the Alexa console using the browser.
- Once you log in, go to Cooking App Skill.
- On the left-hand menu, there is a JSON Editor.
The following screenshot shows the JSON Editor menu:

- On the right-hand side, you will see the JSON that describes the schema definition of the Alexa skill you built. Note that there is not a direct way to export the file from the web, so you would need to copy and paste the JSON into the file.
