First, let's not confuse user behavior with design behavior. User behavior, which we explained in detail in Chapter 3, User Behavior Basics and User Research, is more about how users are using our product, that is, their behavior when they use our product; design behavior is how we design the product, which will affect our users' behavior.
When we design behavior for our product, we are more concerned with how our design can shape or influence our users' behavior.
We have already learned that a product is only as good as its ability to influence behavior. There are tons of wonderful products that are available to us nowadays that are executed to perfection, but that failed to get any true user adoptions.
