Just as in the previous chapter, this chapter will use Node.js, which is available at https://nodejs.org. We will also be using the following components:

- body-parser (version 1.18.3 or greater)
- express (version 4.16.4 or greater)
- mongoose (version 5.4.8 or greater)
- @types/cors (version 2.8.4 or greater)
- @types/body-parser (version 1.17.0 or greater)
- @types/express (version 4.16.0 or greater)
- @types/mongodb (version 3.1.19 or greater)
- @types/mongoose (version 5.3.11 or greater)
We will also be using MongoDB. The Community Edition is available at https://www.mongodb.com/download-center/community.
