We began the chapter by understanding the importance of custom post types and the features that made it a popular choice in plugin development. Then, we looked at the process of creating custom post types, while understanding the use of taxonomies and custom fields with custom post types. Next, we moved to the process and techniques of developing custom forms for the frontend of a website. Finally, we looked at the need for using forms plugins, and compared the advantages and disadvantages of custom post types and custom forms.

In Chapter 8, Discovering Key Modules in Development, we will be exploring the development of key modules in modern web sites, such as UI component integration, improving usability, and customizing core admin features.
