Steps for integrating UI components


Up to this point, we looked at two implementations for integrating the jQuery slider and accordion UI components using different data-capturing techniques. The implementation may vary based on the type of UI component and its functionality. However, the basic process is similar for most of the common UI components. So, let's summarize the keys for integrating any UI component with WordPress:

  1. Identify component data: Each UI component works on existing data or elements. So, we need to identify the data needed to use each UI component and the method for storing this data.
  2. Generate component output: In this step, we have to use the captured data, process it, and generate the HTML output needed to enable the features of a UI component. Usually, we use a reusable component such as a shortcode or widget to add and generate the output for UI components.
