Previewing a responsive project on your mobile device

New in Captivate 2019 is the ability to preview your project directly on your mobile device. This new feature is called Live Preview on Devices. This is the perfect way of ensuring that all the interactive objects you have used in your course module translate well on a touchscreen. Use the following steps to test it out:

The following steps require that you have a Smartphone connected to the same network as the computer you are using to run Captivate. If these conditions are not met, you will not be able to experience that workflow.
  1. In the Responsive Learning Sample.cptx file, use the Preview | Live Preview on Devices icon on the Toolbar.

Captivate publishes a temporary file of the project in HTML5. When done, it opens the default web browser installed on the system and displays a big QR code.

  1. Use your Smartphone to scan the QR code that Captivate has generated in your Web Browser.
  2. Enjoy your Responsive Project directly on your mobile device!

The Live Preview on Devices feature makes it incredibly easy and convenient to test your Responsive Projects on an actual mobile device!
