Distributing objects equally

Let’s take a look at a new option added in Captivate 2019, which is to distribute objects equally.

If you have objects in the Fluid Box that are not equally sized, you can use the Distribute Objects Equally option to ensure that all objects in a Fluid Box are equally spaced and are of the same size:

  1. In the FluidBoxes.cptx file, go to Slide 17. Notice that in the bottom Fluid Box, the Back, Menu, and Next shapes are of different sizes.
  2. Select the bottom Fluid Box, which is the last Fluid Box listed in the Select Fluid Box section.
  3. In the Properties inspector, click the Distribute Objects Equally button. This will equally resize and distribute the objects in the Fluid Box.

As a best practice, you should use this option for objects that do not have the Maintain Aspect Ratio option selected. If you use this option for objects that have aspect ratio maintained, it might result in distortion in the size of the...
