Preparing your work

Before jumping into inserting animation, prepare Captivate and open the project files of this chapter using the following steps:

  1. Open (or restart) Captivate.

If you are using the default interface mode (as described in Chapter 1, Getting Started with Captivate 2019), restarting Captivate resets your workspace to default. If you are using the Advanced Interface Mode, be aware that the screenshots in this book and the step-by-step instructions were created using the default interface. To switch back to the default interface mode, refer to Chapter 1, Getting Started with Adobe Captivate 2019.

  1. Use the File | Open menu item to open the Chapter03/takeTheTrain.cptx file. You can also use the Ctrl + O (Windows) or command + O (Mac) shortcut to open a file.
  2. Take some time to look at this project and its objects.
