Changing the background of a Master Slide

You will now customize the Title Master Slide of the theme. This Master Slide should use a different background than the one that's inherited from the Main Master Slide. You also want to remove the copyright notice so that it does not appear on Title slides. Use the following steps to apply a different background image to the title Master Slide:

  1. Still in the Master Slide view of the Chapter06/themeMaker.cptx file, use the Master Slide panel to select the Title Master Slide.
  2. In the Properties inspector, deselect the Show Main Master Slide Objects checkbox.

This action removes the objects that are inherited from the Main Master Slide. This leaves you with a blank slide containing one placeholder.

  1. Use the Media | Image icon on the Toolbar to insert the Chapter06/images/titleBackground.png image on the slide.
  2. Use the Timeline panel to lock the image so it cannot be accidentally modified.
