Reporting options at the Question Slide level

Each of the scorable objects of Captivate are automatically assigned with a unique Interaction ID. This Interaction ID is what makes data tracking by the LMS possible. Perform the following steps to view and change the Interaction IDs:

  1. Use the Filmstrip to go to slide 24 of the Chapter07/takeTheTrain.cptx file.
  2. At the bottom of the Quiz inspector, notice the Report Answers checkbox.

This checkbox allows you to choose which interactions are reported to the LMS. For Question Slides, this checkbox is checked by default, because it is assumed that you want to report these interactions to the LMS. It means you must explicitly deselect this option if you don't want to report a particular question of the Quiz.

  1. If needed, use the Window | Question Pool menu item to open the Question Pool panel.
  2. Select any Question Slide within the Question Pool.
  3. At the end of the Quiz inspector, notice the Interaction ID in the Reporting section.
