Implementing an affiliate program

If your company sells something, then you can consider the implementation of an affiliate program. The main advantage of this type of activity is that you have other people promoting your products and they only get paid if they bring a customer. Usually, the way they promote your products is by placing a link (called an affiliate link) in one of their posts reviewing your product, for example. Drupal tracks all those incoming clicks and maps them to your affiliate, keeping a record of all the customers or products they should have a commission of the sale for. It depends on your affiliation rules, but usually, those affiliates expect to receive the credit for a sale from between the first moment they refer a visitor to your website to up to 90 days in the future (if the customer buys the product on a later day) by placing an affiliate tracking cookie on that visitor.

To have success on your affiliate program, your affiliates must trust your brand...
