Working with workflows
A workflow consists of a sequence of processes and tasks that represent the work that must be done to reach a common goal. Typically, we may think about workflows as a graph.
Pimcore Workflow Management provides configurations of multiple workflows on assets, documents, data objects, to support data maintenance processes, element life cycles, and various other processes. Pimcore workflows are based on the Symfony workflow component and extend it with specific features. Before starting the configuration of a Pimcore workflow, let's describe the basics concepts of the Symfony workflow component, as follows:
- Workflow Type 'Workflow': This is the default type of workflow and allows you to model a workflow net that is a subclass of a petri net. For this kind of workflow, an element can be in several states of the workflow at the same time.
