Make sure that the site is in maintenance mode before you start this process. Ideally, you should have put the site into maintenance mode before taking a backup earlier in this chapter.
Go to your Site Admin panel. You should see a link at the top of the screen alerting you to the fact that there is a new version available. Click this link and enter your FTP details when they are requested. Once you've completed the upgrade, check your plugins page. If you see any plugins that are out of date, upgrade them using the upgrade automatically link.
