Time for action – domain mapping


  1. Download the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/.

  2. Upload the plugin file (domain_mapping.php) to the /wp-content/mu-plugins folder.

  3. Check /wp-content/ for a file called Sunrise.php.

  4. If the file is not there, upload the one that came with the plugin.

  5. If there is already a Sunrise.php file in the folder, compare the two and paste over any needed changes from the one that came with the plugin.

  6. Open wp-config.php and uncomment the following line:

    define( 'SUNRISE', 'on' );
  7. Go to Tools | Domain mapping, and you should see a message saying Domain mapping database table created.

  8. Now your users should see a page that looks similar to the following:
