So far, we have added some plugins that will make the fight against spam easier. However, there's more to running a web site than stopping comment spammers, and fortunately there are plugins that can help us with virtually every aspect of running a site—from setting up the basic categories that new users will see on their blogs to moderating new user registrations, and even automating backups.

Moderating registrations

Slayercafe is intended for use by Slayers, Watchers, demon hunters, and their friends. The slaying community is a very tight-knit one, and it is likely that anyone who would want to join the site would either already know someone who is a member or would be able to somehow prove that they are involved in slaying related activities.

For SlayerCafe to remain a safe place for its members, it must be a closed community, with every single member approved by one of the Watchers responsible for maintaining the site. To do this, we can use the Moderate New Blogs plugin...
