Time for action - editing a custom theme


In this exercise, you'll learn how to edit the Carbonated theme, although you can use the same process for any other theme:

  1. Open your web browser and log into Roller. Click on the Design tab to go to the Weblog Theme page, and select the Custom Theme option:

  2. Select the Carbonated theme, scroll down until you locate the Update Theme button, and click on it to copy the Carbonated theme templates to your custom space. Roller will respond with the following success message:

  3. Now click on the Start editing your blog templates link to start editing your new theme:

  4. Roller will take you to the Templates page. Here you can see a list of all the templates used in the Carbonated theme:

  5. Select File | New Tab on your web browser to open a new tab, and type your weblog's URL to see the front page (http://localhost/roller):
