These tools will never be visible to our visitors, unlike our bugs which normally stand out to haunt us. Our reputation and careers might depend on them. They can help us solve in minutes, issues that would require an uncertain wait if we asked in the forums. They let us see what really goes on and confirm our assumptions or, dispiritingly often, squash them.
They let us compress, squeeze, and arrange our code, styles, images, and other elements in the most efficient way, detect bottlenecks that bog our applications down and, thus, improve both the delivery of the application and its execution.
