Changing the administrator template


Once you've installed an administrator template, you'll need to enable it to see the new template.

Getting ready

Log in to your website's administrator panel and navigate to Extensions | Template Manager:

How to do it...

  1. 1. From there, select the Administrator option to view the administrator templates that you have currently installed.

  1. 2. Now you can see that we have two administrator templates currently installed—Khepri, which is currently enabled (it has a gold star beneath the Default column), and APLite.

  1. 3. To change the administrator template to your newly installed APLite template, select the radio button next to the template's name.

  1. 4. After that, all you need to do is click on the Default button at the top-right of your screen.

  2. 5. You've now changed the administrator template for your Joomla! website. The APLite template changes your administration panel to look like this:
