Adding a table paginator plugin to our admin zone

First, we will add an interesting plugin to our component administrator screen, for example, a table paginator plugin. We are going to use the plugin we can find here:

http://slashjquery.com/.

The plugin is called tablePager (made by Rasmus Styrk), and it will help divide any table we want into pages. Of course, we can do that with the help of Joomla!'s functions. But hey, after all we are in a Joomla! and jQuery book, so using a jQuery plugin will be fine.

Note

If you are interested in learning more about Joomla! pagination, you can take a look at the following link:

http://docs.joomla.org/Using_JPagination_in_your_component.

It's a very interesting article.

First, download the plugin and place the jquery.tablePager-1.2.js file in administrator/components/com_tinynews/js/. Later we will see how to use it. Now we will proceed...
