Starting your Application

What's next?

Before I send you on your way, let's talk about what's in store for you with your application in the wild, and what you can do next to make this application more powerful.

Scaling your application

Luckily, scaling your application should be really easy when leveraging PHPFog and Cloudant. Really, the most intense thing you'll have to do is log in to PHPFog and bump up our web processes, or log in to Cloudant and upgrade to a bigger plan. They handle all of the hard work; you just need to learn how to scale effectively. You can't beat that!

For more information on how to scale effectively, browse the help documents of both PHPFog and Cloudant, they talk a lot of about different ways that you can scale and problem areas to avoid.

It's worth mentioning again that we didn't fully cover replication in this chapter. For a full walkthrough of replication, be sure to checkout the bonus chapter titled Replicating your data, which is available on the Packt Publishing website.
