Carry out the following steps:
Make sure that you've enabled the advanced permission mode.
Navigate to the home page and start editing the page by clicking on Edit Page.
Add a new content block to the sidebar where you'd like to inform your members about the new section, as shown in the following screenshot:
Due to our deliberate understatement, we'd like to make sure that guests cannot see the new content block. Click on the block again and click on Set Permissions, as shown in the following screenshot:
In the dialog showing up, simply uncheck the checkbox for Guests and click on Update , as shown in the following screenshot:
We revoked the right for guests to see a single content block. This works with any block in concrete5, not just content blocks.
But again, think about this. Using such a high level of permissions is probably more difficult to manage than you think.
