Miscellaneous pedagogical settings

There are a number of remaining settings and parameters that might have to be configured on your system, depending on whether the functionalities will be used by your teachers and learners. These settings are:

  • Conditional access: This is a feature often required by course authors and teachers. By default, this is not activated; it has to be turned on in Advanced features | Enable conditional access.

  • Completion tracking: This is needed in courses if progress of learners has to be tracked. Again, this feature is disabled by default and has to be turned on in Advanced features | Enable completion tracking.

  • Other settings: Other course-related settings are Course default settings (Courses | Course default settings) as discussed in Chapter 4, Course Management and Chapter 8,Moodle Plugins.
