Our Cignex neighbourhood members are fanatic sport fans, and they want an option to add their favorite sport. Let us see how we can do this:
Log in as portal admin, and navigate to Control Panel.
Click on the Custom Fields option from the left-hand side, which will bring up the following screenshot:
Click on the User link, which will bring you to the screenshot shown as follows:
Click on the Add Custom Field button, which will give you a screen to add your custom field attribute, as shown in the following screenshot:
Give the value of Key as sport. Next, there is a Type, wherein you can select whether you want text, selection box, or text box. Leave the selection of Type as Text Field – Indexed. Click on Save, which will result in the following screenshot, notifying that the custom field sport is added for User, as follows:
Now, let us see how a user can enter the value for the newly created custom attribute. Click on the My Account...
