Summary

To summarize, we have learned how to set up PhoneGap in the Eclipse IDE environment. We've also developed a Hello World PhoneGap application. Most importantly, we learned how to perform a RESTful GET request from our PhoneGap application; this functionality forms the bread and butter of our final project in the next chapter. Lastly, we also briefly went through PhoneGap's Geolocation API, which we will be using in the next chapter as well.

In the next chapter, we will learn how to apply the techniques learned in this chapter in tandem with jQuery Mobile. We will also learn how to quickly transit from jQuery to jQuery Mobile.
