Time for action—tracking a marketing campaign


Success for any website is the ability to drive traffic. This may come from a number of sources, including marketing campaigns that we may want to run. Now that we have enabled Web analytics, the marketing team is going run a marketing campaign that uses the Services page as the main landing page. Let's set up the system to allow them to monitor the success of this campaign using the following steps:

  1. 1. Log in to Site Manager, select the Settings tab, and Web analytics. In the Sites drop-down box, select Corporate Site, as shown in the following screenshot:

  2. 2. In the Campaign tracking URL parameter, uncheck the Inherit from global settings, enter services, as shown in the following screenshot and select Save.

  3. 3. Open a new browser and enter the campaign URL that will be used—http://localhost:58995/KenticoCMS/Services-Available.aspx?services=junenewsletter, as shown in the following screenshot:
