While it may require work installing and configuring our Blackboard Learn environment, external-authentication options help improve user support. Authentication into our instance will use the username and password within existing applications and protocols, and removes the need for an additional username and password to remember. Data integration gives our users an improved experience in the quality of the information within the application itself. Regular near real-time updates keep access to courses and student information up to date, which helps the student and the instructor.
Our next chapter takes us on to the topic of Building Blocks. These, however, are not the stackable toys of our childhood, but they build on to the current structure within Blackboard Learn, hence the name. These provide additional functionality to our virtual community. So let our playtime begin with Blackboard Learn building blocks.
