Summary

In this chapter we learned about courses in Blackboard Learn. We reviewed how to get users into our courses one by one or in a large group, and how we, as administrators, can access courses as instructors to help troubleshoot issues. Our discussion also covered how to allow those enrolled users access to the courses we create. We took a deep dive into the export and archive process—reviewing differences between the two and how to create these types of files from the website and command-line interfaces. Our final topic reviewed how to remove content or the entire course from Blackboard Learn.

Our virtual community has been created. We might call it a utopia for online learning; however, we are missing an important part. Users play a major role in the learning process and we need to allow them to have access. Without their participation, this is a virtual ghost town. So our next chapter will discuss how we can get our population to rise.
