Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check. But that is not what I have found. I have found that it is small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.

This book was created not with the help of great power, but over the course of several years through daily deeds, and based on twenty years of experience. Even though it’s possible that many of you will regard it as an expert book, it is primarily an experience book.
It was created long before the writing began; it was created on the first day of my experience in working with people. It is based on all my attempts and mistakes and learning, which sooner or later come back to the fact that you cannot use any great power with people, or even yourself, but that you can succeed with small human expressions of kindness and love. Its basic source is experience, particularly my exchange of experience with numerous people. It would certainly look different had, along the way of its creation, kindness and love not been unselfishly shared by Tom Bunjevac (who taught me that life is much wider and deeper than any profession, even psychology), Vera Franc (who taught me the first steps of what is today called Human Resources Management), Borna Zane and Vinko Dumičić (who each in their own way taught me a human approach in the merciless business environment), and Bruno Filipi (who helped me understand why the business environment needs people).
