Overview of this book

Exam AZ-900 is designed for candidates looking to demonstrate foundation-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services. This exam can be taken as an optional first step in learning about cloud services and how those concepts are exemplified by Microsoft Azure. It can be taken as a precursor to Microsoft Azure or Microsoft cloud services exams. While it is a beneficial first step—validating your fundamental knowledge—taking this exam is not a prerequisite for any other Azure certifications. To start with, there are 4 modules that are covered in this course that exactly match with the Az exam. The first module is about cloud concepts that cover 15-20% of the syllabus. Module 2 covers core Azure services and comprises 30-35%. After that, module 3—which helps you understand security, privacy, compliance, and trust—comprises 25-30%. Finally, there is module 4, which helps you understand Azure pricing and support that comprises 25-30%. Up and above these modules, there are a few sections for the non-IT professionals, which cover some important concepts that will definitely come in handy in understanding a few complex things of the modules. By the end of this course, you’ll be fully equipped with the knowledge required to pass the AZ-900 exam. If you’re looking for an entry point to Microsoft Azure, this AZ-900 exam prep course is what you need.
