Client/server applications are a bit more complicated, and not only because there are more templates. These wonderful applications are closer in nature to Browser-embedded applications than to web apps, in that they are based on standalone client software that runs outside of a browser. A client/server application connects to a back-end server on a TCP/IP port, and therefore, requires a tunnel to pass along the data. For example, publishing Telnet or SSH would be done using these templates.
The various client/server application templates are somewhat similar, although they are exceptionally flexible. All of them launch an SSL-VPN tunnel using the UAG client components, and then launch a program or script on the client computer to run the client-side application that connects through the tunnel.
