Preface

Creating an xx64 label template


Editing any of the standard labels for font changes or inserting a logo is much the same as what was done with the envelopes and won't be repeated here. However, the ACT! program doesn't include a template for the commonly used Avery shipping label xx64. (Avery uses the first two numbers to designate the label material and the last two numbers to designate the size.) Your printer may or may not have the dimensions built in for the xx64 label. The dimensioning provided for some of the labels and often isn't the best to have the type align to the label. For that reason, we will be skipping any specific label selection and using the preferences in the report editor to define the label.

Getting ready

Because we will be creating a new template, there isn't any preparation required other than to have an ACT! database open.
