Using the Group tab of the Contact Detail view


So far in this chapter we've been looking at several contacts as they relate to a Group. After all, by definition a Group is composed of more than one Contact record. However, there are times when you want to hone in on an individual Contact record to see which Groups he's a member of and/or add him to a Group if necessary.

As you start to become more and more familiar with ACT! you start to realize that ACT! supplies you with all the functionality that you could ever ask for. By accessing the Group tab in the Contact Detail view you can instantly see exactly which Groups the current Contact is a member of. And, more importantly, you can easily add that Contact to a Group if necessary.

Getting ready

You'll start by creating a Group or two; you can even populate them following the recipes earlier in this chapter.
