In this chapter, we described Data Foundation functionalities in detail. We also went through BO objects (alias and derived tables) that we can add to our Data Foundation layer. After that, we learned how to join our objects. Finally, we saw a detailed description of almost all functions, options, and features that we can access from the Data Foundation layer.

In the next chapter, we will talk about creating the Business layer and populating it with business objects.
