In this chapter, we discussed the importance of testing our Universe before publishing it and making it available to end users. We went through different phases in the Universe development life cycle such as initiation, planning, implementation, testing, and closing. Then we discussed each phase briefly.

After that, we gave special attention to the testing phase as it is our main topic in this chapter. We also have discussed tools to accomplish two main test types: SIT, which can be performed by the Check Integrity wizard, and UAT, which can be performed by creating a business query in the Business layer from the Queries tab in the left panel.

In the next chapter, we will discuss advanced topics on Data Foundation. We will start with an introduction to data models (star schema, snow flake, and relational models). Then, we will discuss SQL design traps and how to fix each trap.
