Summary

In this chapter, we revisited the concepts of agile and scrum. We explored the benefits and flip side of agile (scrum) and understood the agile manifesto. A comparative study was done on waterfall and agile methodologies. Emphasis was given to understanding the scrum framework and terminology related to it. We also learned how to set up an agile project and scale it.

In Chapter 5, Sample Projects, we will look at a sample project. We will see how the concepts of agile work in SAP projects. We will take multiple examples from various real-time projects and see how capturing and documenting user requirements, creating product backlogs (all in SAP project perspective) can be done. We will take a closer look at the various phases of SAP Activate and look at how agile concepts are used in those phases. Industry best practices are also shared during the discussion of the various concepts.
