Ivan and Frankie were really polite. I’d expected them both to be men, but Frankie turned out to be a woman whose real name is Françoise!
However, as soon as I started talking through their work with them, I didn’t think they really wanted me to be there. They were a bit threatened, I thought, by the breadth and depth of my EA knowledge and experience.
We talked through their architecture and where they were taking it. They showed me their ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ architecture models and the roadmap from one to the other. The ‘as is’ model was the usual spaghetti, although better than some I’d seen. Their ‘to be’ model, and roadmap for getting there, were really quite elegant.
