Introduction

Multipart messages are used to encode OpenFlow request and reply messages, which carry a large amount of data that can't be fitted into a single OpenFlow message. For more information regarding multipart messages and the message formats that will be used by the controller to send the multipart request message, refer to the Introduction section in Chapter 5, Handling Multipart Statistics Messages (Part 2). The chapter also describes in detail about multipart statistics information messages.
