So far, we have seen many concepts and components of Hyper-V: Hyper-V architecture, host deployment, Hyper-V Licensing as well as components such as processor, memory, network, and storage. Now, it is time to see how to perform day-to-day tasks on Hyper-V for managing VMs.
It is true, however, that in large Hyper-V deployments, administrators make use of other management tools, such as Microsoft System Center, especially the System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), which is the component focused on virtualization environments. The SCVMM is a management component that uses Hyper-V Hosts, or even VMware ESXi or Citrix XenServer Hosts, to deliver a private cloud solution. Among other features, SCVMM is also capable of managing VMs and hosts, applying policies to hosts and VMs, and managing the VM templates.
Using a management tool is important in making day-to-day tasks easier to accomplish. However, understanding how all of this...
