In Chapter 7, Implementing High Availability, we discussed how to implement an HA solution with the Microsoft failover cluster. You learned that with a failover cluster, you can create an environment on which if a node that is member of the cluster fails, the VM is automatically failed over to another host with minimal interruption. Additionally, you learned that you can manage other aspects of the VM on a cluster to ensure that it is running even in a situation in which you will need to stop a node for any reason, such as a predicted maintenance activity.
