Chapter 13. Site Server Maintenance Tasks

The previous chapters covered all essential issues related to the design, installation, and administration of a ConfigMgr server. This last chapter will tell you about a very important topic related to the maintenance and monitoring of the site server. There are various important maintenance tasks for a ConfigMgr server; the most important ones covered by this book are as follows:

  • Creating a backup copy and restoring the server after a failure
  • Configuring maintenance tasks, especially ones related to cleaning the SQL database
  • Monitoring the ConfigMgr server

Maintenance tasks can be configured for site servers as well as for the central administration site.
