Containers are a core-enabling technology for microservices, serverless, ML/AI, streaming, blockchain, and IoT, but they are also playing a key role in reducing the operational and support costs of traditional applications on Windows and Linux platforms. That said, it appears that containers will impact any organization that hosts web-based APIs, and service/headless applications.
