"Microsoft ♡ Linux" was written on the closing slide of a presentation given by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in 2015. This announced a wave of changes that were going to happen, and Satya Nadella wanted to address Microsoft's interest in Linux and Open-Source Software (OSS) technologies. Everyone felt that there was some contradiction here, wondering why Microsoft was working with OSS technologies.
